2018-19 President's Message:

Joan E. Wakeland

I would like to thank Carolyn Follis and her Board’s leadership of the club for the past two years. The club has expanded to 50 members, a special thank you is also appropriate for all members.

We have started to record our volunteer hours and have really taken this to a level higher than last year. We have surpassed that by 33%. Helen Keller said “ Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” There are many variations of this quote, but we all understand what that means regardless of the version used.

The baton has been passed to myself and new officers.I am prepared to be taught, prepared to learn more about the GFWC and prepared to execute plans that are beneficial to the organization. Our Club membership is comprised of individuals who are willing to commit themselves to making a difference in serving the community! For this, I am grateful and feel honored to be associated with all of you!

On Monday May 21 The Board met. In attendance were Carolyn Follis, Leslie Guglielmetti, Pauline Hall, Deborah Irish, Robbie Motter, Sheila Neal, and myself. Also present was Dorothy Wolons who I invited. She is not on the Board but writes our fabulous Newsletter!

We all brainstormed to plan an exciting year for the period June 2018 Thru May 2019. Usually June thru August is dark, but there are fun things planned if you want to participate. Check your email and News Letter Programs are already in place, Fund Raisers are planned and we are ready to just do it! Our theme is:

“ Together we will achieve more“ Let’s Go!
